Year 12:
On Wednesday 29th March, Year 12 students were visited by Dr Alix Hibble who gave a lecture-style talk on how to revise effectively and how revision can lead to exam success in the future. Their company “Exam Study Expert” offers a range of support such as workshops, 1:1 coaching, podcasts, blogs, and books. Overall, the whole session covered topics on: exam technique, having a positive mindset, smart revision techniques and subject content. Statistics show that students who take part in retrieval practice are said to get better results than those who only re-read their notes. The main message from the session is that revising earlier leads to less stress and better grades!
