Message from Principal Scotti ~ January 2022
Happy New Year!
Dear Orchard Hill Families,
I want to inform you that after nearly twenty-seven years in the field of education, my career is about to sunset. Effective July 1, 2022, I will retire from the Montgomery Township school district.
This decision was not an easy one for me because of my deep commitment to the students, staff and parent community of Orchard Hill. It has been my honor and privilege to have served as the principal of Orchard Hill Elementary School for the past ten years. I want to thank you for having the faith and trust in me to serve in such an important role. During my tenure, I have also had the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Principal for four years and enjoyed teaching children as a first-grade teacher and reading recovery/academic support teacher. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have served as an educator in such a vibrant and supportive community; a community where both academics and social emotional learning is valued as a priority by all stakeholders. Thank you for staying engaged in your children’s education, volunteering in our school, and participating in the many activities and programs that support our students. You have been great advocates for your children, and they will continue to thrive because of your support.
I have enjoyed an amazing career with the Montgomery Township school district and building relationships with so many families over the years has been priceless. Monty has been my second home for so many years and I will treasure the memories. Please know that my dedication and commitment will continue as we transition to finding a new principal for Orchard Hill Elementary School.
With gratitude,
Kathleen Scotti
