Happy Thursday Bobcat Families,
This year is going by so fast! Only 4 ½ more weeks of school and so much left to do! There are many exciting events in the next couple of weeks. Here are details on just a few.
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! All of our amazing teachers will be pampered next week with treats from our PTA.
May 14th - Pet Parade Downtown Los Altos, see more information below.
May 17th is ELAC Fun Night (English Learner Advisory Committee) from 5:30-7:00 on Santa Rita blacktop/Multi

I also want to let you know that there will be a survey coming to your email soon from LASD. Please take the time to fill out the survey. We believe our families’ voices are essential to the success of our academic programs and instruction. We would greatly appreciate your input and feedback to help us understand your child’s experience in this current school year and to prepare for the next school year. The survey will be open for parent feedback until 5:00pm on Tuesday, May 17.
CAASP Testing has started for 3rd-6th graders. Please help your student do their best by getting plenty of sleep, a good breakfast and getting them to school on time. Please try not to take your student out of school for the next 3 weeks, especially in the am hours when testing will be going on.
Thank you for keeping our community safe and healthy!
Stay Bobcat Strong!

A Message from Ms. Garvin
AMAZING JUNIOR OLYMPICS!!!
The Junior Olympics has finally returned after being canceled for 2 years. It was a wonderful day, and so many parents volunteered to make the event so very special for our children!!!
First of all, a tremendous standing ovation to the head of our Santa Rita J.O. Committee:
KELLY SANDERS LO! She was responsible for ensuring that so many things got done, and did most of it herself: Attending LASD committee meetings, soliciting volunteers, organizing assemblies, generating timing sheets, entering data for the relay teams, ensuring that all events/schedules/maps were entered, printed out + distributed to all athletes, designing + ordering new T-shirts for all. JACK LO was responsible for running the Softball Throw Station (Santa Rita school’s event) all day. He made sure everything was painted and set up, all equipment was delivered, measurements were accurate, and everything was cleaned up and put away at the end.
J.O. Committee helpers include: ALISON GARDNER BIGGS, JON BENNETT, MITCH SMITH and LISA WEEKES
Much appreciation to our principal KELLY RAFFERTY for her support of the P.E. program and students! She was there and cheering for our Bobcats all day! So many teachers and staff also came out on their “day off” to march in the Opening Ceremonies and encourage our athletes.
I am SO GRATEFUL to have had so many parents volunteer their time during P.E. classes to help train and time the students in their events. It really helped to make our Bobcats successful…and the parents had so much fun seeing their kids in action at school!

Last, but definitely not least, thanks to all of you sensational parents who took the time to come to the Junior Olympics to show support to your child. To see so many smiles that day was truly heartwarming! And as always, thanks to you parents for your generous donations to the LAEF (Los Altos Educational Foundation), which supports our P.E. program.
