Dear Families,

I certainly hope your summer has been filled with many fond memories and some fun activities. For the Siembida family it has been go, go, go!!!

There will be more information coming out as the weeks progress but I wanted to send a few items now so you might have the opportunity to get a head start. Please check out the added items below for details.

Week of August 14th: Classroom Teacher assignments and supply lists.

August 22nd: Return to school open house held at Twin Lake Elementary, 6-7 pm

August 28th: First week of school (Monday-Thursday ½ days for the first week back).

September 15th: Rocket city Kickoff Event and Football game - 5:00 pm Rocket Stadium

Update every school year!

Please click the link below to fill out our Free/Reduced application. This is VERY important! It is important for a few school funding formulas to have these applications on file. If you are a family who believes they are not going to be eligible for Free/Reduced lunch, please fill this application out anyway. The more applications we get turned in, the better chances we have to be granted funding from various different State and Federal sources. If you have been eligible for this program in the past, you will need to fill the application out for this upcoming school year. If you are unsure, please fill it out and the Kitchen Staff will be in contact with you. I filled out the Siembida Family's application the other night. Start to finish took me 6 minutes on my phone

Please note: Nobody at Twin Lake will see your application, nor will we ever see a list of those who are eligible for this program. ONLY our food service director sees these applications.

On our playgrounds, a few pieces needed to go... They will be replaced with new pieces however. They are here and ready to be installed.

We will be able to enjoy a newly added outdoor learning area that surrounds our Hoop House (still under construction).

Inside the Hoop House (and our elevated garden rings) is a new garden to table program that we will be able to enjoy. This was a grant awarded to all of our elementary buildings. The food we grow, our students will eat for breakfast and lunch.

Click Here to access a supply list. This list is based off of last year and might be subject to change. Our Teachers will edit these lists a little bit I'm sure. However, it should serve you as a starting point to get a head start. Each teacher will have a list inside the letter that will go home for classroom assignments.

There is a Job Posting to fill at R-PTLE for a part-time Office Assistant. Mrs. Nicholson will be serving our students in a different capacity this school year making her former position open for a new hire. The job is 10:00 - 1:00 every school day.
