Last week was a great week at CTMS. Already this week, we are seeing great things in the classrooms with instructional practices and learning. Students and teachers are working hard mastering learning standards. I believe it is safe to say that we have officially entered the longest stretch of the school year as we head toward March and April. Our students and staff are preparing for lots of hard work to occurr over the next 13 weeks.
Candy Grams were a huge success this last week. Thank you to all who supported the music program with the purchase of candy grams. The music boosters will be delivering candy grams tomorrow on Valentine's day during 9th period.
Reminder that this Friday, is a 2-hour early dismissal so teachers can hold faculty senate meetings.
This week, I had the pleasure of being interviewed for our daily news program. In this interview I took time to remind students of the importance of personal responsibility. Personal responsibility is being in charge of your actions, not just in the classroom but in all areas of life. We don't expect our students to have all of life's answers at their age, but we do expect them to get a little bit better each and every day. This will help them become a more positive member of our learning community. Every decision they make is a representation of themselves and the growth they have made. As educators, we are here to support their growth and to continue to do the right things.
