FFA Crop and Shop Projects
FFA Crop and Shop Projects:
FFA Crop and Shop projects allow members to display various crops, posters, and mechanics projects at the Wood County Fair. Please see the attached document for specific project information and be sure to read all rules and guidelines.
All project entries need to be taken to the Junior Fair Building on the Wood County Fairgrounds on Sunday, July 31st, 2022 between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Judging starts promptly at 6:00 p.m. so if you do not have your projects in before then, they will not be judged and you will not receive your premium money. No students are allowed during project judging except for those that signed up to help. Following the fair, you will need to pick up your projects from the Junior Fair Building starting Sunday, August 7th, 2022 after 3:00pm through Monday, August 8th, 2022 at 6:00pm. ALL PROJECTS MUST BE PICKED UP BY MONDAY AT 6PM. FFA Members, parents, family members, friends, etc. are responsible for picking up FFA Member Fair projects this includes the ones Mrs. Lawrence took to the fair for the member. Mrs. Lawrence is NOT responsible for picking up projects for members so please make arrangements for the projects to be picked up.
Mrs. Lawrence will be taking up all shop projects that were left at the school. You are more than welcome to enter other shop projects you have created at home throughout the summer!

Wood County Fair Week Pass for FFA Members
Passes/Wristbands (2021-2022 FFA members):
FFA members can pick up fair pass at the Wood County Fair Office (located on the Wood County Fairgrounds) starting July 23rd during their normal office hours: Monday-Friday- 10:00am to 4:00pm. They are usually open Saturday and Sunday before the fair starts but I have not heard or seen anything about that for 2022. FFA advisors do not have access to wristbands and they must be picked up at the office. If you do not pick them up before fair starts, you may be subject to the admission charge. This applies for all FFA members!
Elmwood Community Beef Stand at the Wood County Fair
All students and parents are asked to work a shift in the beef stand each year at the fair. FFA members are the primary beneficiary of the profits and thus, you should provide some labor towards it. This money helps pay for conferences, conventions, the meal at the annual FFA Banquet, shop and classroom materials, and anything else the chapter may need financial assistance with.
We would really appreciate if you would please seriously consider providing some time towards the stand. Shifts should be a minimum of 4 hours and at the end of your complete shift you will receive a sandwich and a drink for your time. Please see the additional Beef Stand Info in this packet.
