Here is a sampling of what is available in schoolinks:
June 30, 2025 - College Board Big Future Scholarships - award winners and amounts vary.
June 30, 2025 - NOVA G3 Initiative - The G3 initiative provides an opportunity for any Virginian to earn a college credential that meets critical employer demands. Virginia House Bill 2204 established G3 as a last-dollar grant for eligible students after other grant aid is applied. Funding is available for either credit or non-credit programs.
G3 is a limited pool of funds for students enrolled at least half-time in one of the eligible G3 credit or non-credit programs and will be awarded on a first-come/first-served basis as eligibility is determined. G3 funds make up the difference between what state, federal and other financial aid grants pay. This is commonly referred to as a "last dollar" program.
G3 awards can cover tuition and mandatory fees and a textbook stipend of $500 for full-time attendance, $375 for three-quarter-time and $250 for half-time enrollment.
Please check back to this website at least once per month as new ones are always being added in. If you have any questions on this, please come by the Career Center to see Mrs. King.
Ongoing Scholarship information:
Listed below are some scholarship search engines sites that I have reviewed (albeit briefly). There are tons of information in all of them. Check them out. There are so many different ways to find money. You just have to be willing to put in the time.
One thing you should do before applying to scholarships is setting up an independent email account, just for scholarship information. Once you start applying to different websites, you will get lots of emails from them. Having an independent email account, just for scholarships, will help keep your personal and/or school accounts from getting cluttered.
Also, please check out studentscholarships.org . It is a national database and has a ton of scholarships you can research for.
In case you didn't know, NOVA offers a lot of scholarships. The window deadlines vary. Many that show up right at this moment will show that the window has closed. Check back frequently as once the new school year starts those will open up once again: https://nvcc.academicworks.com/opportunities
Unigo.com https://www.unigo.com/ . If you go about three-quarters of the way down the page, you will see different ways that you can search. Just explore and check things out.
Scholarships360.org Again, another research engine for you to explore.
Scholarships.com Again, explore.
Scholarships Open for you to apply to (if eligible):
