GREAT BEGINNING
Well, it's been a great start to the new year! Our students were treated to some entertainment yesterday at our first all school assembly. A few of our friends from the middle school came and performed a little skit to help introduce our first character word of the month-RESPECT! They even engaged our students in a little sing along. I have to say, I was so proud at what a respectful audience they were! Follow the link for a brief snippet!
HEALTH REMINDERS
Nurse Joy wanted to remind everyone that cold and flu season is already beginning. We have seen cases of influenza, strep throat, and even COVID. Please remind your child to practice good handwashing techniques and cover their mouth and nose while sneezing. If your child isn't feeling well or has a fever over 100.4, please keep them home. We will continue to be diligent with our cleaning protocols and sanitizing of surfaces.
DROP OFF/PICK UP REMINDERS
For the most part, drop off and pick up is going very smoothly each day. There are a few safety tips we ask that you adhere to that will make the process even more seamless.
- When dropping off or picking up curbside(either in the drive through lane OR Lot B or C) please make sure to pull all the way forward and remain in your car at all times.
- If your child needs assistance getting in and out of the car, please park in Lot B, and walk your child to the nearest crosswalk.
- If walking up to the building from the Lot C area, please remain in the grassy area near the benches or beyond the corner of the building.
- Be patient. While it might not seem like it, the entire process takes 10-12 minutes.
Please know that every procedure we have in place is to keep our students safe!
JUST A REMINDER THAT SCHOOL IS DIMISSED EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 2:00 P.M.
TARDY REMINDER
School starts at 8:00 a.m. each day. If arriving after that time, please come to the front entrance. School personnel enters the building from the drop off area promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students being dropped off in the lane or Parking Lot B after that time will be unattended outside and unable to access the building.
According to the Parent Student Handbook, students are allotted four tardies per quarter. Letters will be going home next week for students who have crossed that threshold. Please make every effort for your child to be on time.
