Hello! My name is Jennifer Regier and I am the new part-time art teacher! I am originally from Newton, KS, and earned my bachelor's in art education from Kansas State University in 2009. From there, I taught high school art for 2 years in Wichita, KS. I came back to Manhattan after that and taught a variety of art mediums at a middle school (grades 7-8) for ten years. While there, I earned a master's in curriculum and instruction at Emporia State University. When the pandemic hit, I decided I wanted to expand my career choices and I went back to school for a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. I will finish that program at the end of July and move to Kansas City to work at Holy Cross and in private practice in the metro area. I am excited to get back to the art classroom while also being a therapist. It's the best of both worlds! I have a 4-year-old dog named Mae, and she's my girl! I enjoy walking and running with Mae, playing volleyball, and whatever hobbies I forgot about while being full-time in grad school! I look forward to meeting and working with all the staff and students at Holy Cross.
