Patriot Peek at the Week

Hello Patriot Families!

We had so much fun dressing up for Red Ribbon Week! Thank you to everyone that participated. I posted many of the pictures on Facebook. There are also two videos below with many pictures from throughout our day on Friday.

If you have not checked out our Storywalks, there is still time this weekend! Wolf Ridge teamed up with the Bunker Hill Library to host two StoryWalks in our town. Read more about this great activity for your family below.

I hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween! Please remember that there will be no school on Tuesday, November 3rd for Election Day. Please exercise your right to vote!

StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Laminated pages from a children's book are attached to wooden stakes, which are installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail, you're directed to the next page in the story. Check out the flier below for more information about our Bunker Hill StoryWalks for October 25th-31st. This is a safe way for us to encourage families to stay active and read together. Please maintain social distance while reading the stories along our paths and HAVE FUN! Students had a great time dressing up in their costumes on Friday. Thank you to PFK, BHCUSD8 Staff, and everyone that donated towards the treat bags for our Wolf Ridge students. We had fun with games, costume contests, crafts, and fun STEM activities.

Due to the cold temperatures, the thermometers are not able to read correctly outdoors. We will take students' temperatures just inside the gym doors and provide them with hand sanitizer. The doors will open each morning at 7:30am. Students should not be left outside unsupervised prior to this time.

There will be no school as this day is a state holiday this year for Election Day. Go vote!

Don't forget to show your Patriot pride

WEAR GOLD AND BLUE THIS FRIDAY TO PARTICIPATE!

Teachers will count the number of students that participate in their class each Friday. This includes our remote learners, too. The class with the most spirit for the week will be announced each Monday. This class will then receive a whole class reward of their choice. Choices may include an extra recess, game time, special snack, dance party, or prize!

We will not have school on this day. Please find a way to honor our Veterans.
