All schools are closed on Monday, December 19 through Friday, January 5. School resumes on Monday, January 9.

Computer science students walked through different grade levels, teachers and visiting parents through an amazing array of computer science activities.

In an effort to support our families that are experiencing homelessness and financial hardship, Nevada Elementary is collecting donations to help them through the holiday season. These donations will be distributed to families in need over the winter break to make their holidays brighter. What a wonderful way Nevada Elementary is blessing their community within their school community.

The campus of Germain is filled with beautiful artwork with the Chalk It Up Kindness project done by the students. Come take a look at the wonderful messages that students are leaving for one another. #Kindness

Porter Ranch Community School middle school students unleashed their decorating skills in our holiday door decoration contest. Students were encouraged to work in teams and show us their holiday spirits!

Congratulations to Superior Principal, Claudette Williamson, retiring this month after 34 years in the District. Although she will be missed by students, staff, and community members, we are excited for her to spend time with her family as she starts this new chapter of retirement. Superior Elementary is lucky to have another wonderful Principal step into Ms. Williamson's role when we return from Winter Break. Check out the January newsletter for more information!

Miss Tammy is a gifted teaching artist and we are blessed to have her share her talents with the students. Enadia students perform a beautiful mele cherishing the gift of water dance.

The Beckford auditorium was filled with music and dance this past Tuesday and Thursday for the holiday performances. The theme was “Celebrate the Season.” All grade levels performed and delighted the audience. You can say this was the best hour of everyone’s week!

Porter Ranch Community School’s Winter Concerts were a wonderful opportunity for the students to showcase their music skills and have fun. It was also a chance for students to show judgment, to work in a group as well as to express themselves individually. PRCS made connections to many cultures, languages, and dances to show that “WE ARE ALL CONNECTED.”

Thank you to our PRCS families and students for donating so many toys to the Devonshire Pals Toy Drive. We are grateful to our Elementary Student Council and all our families for their generosity during this holiday season.
