1. Do you have a special reason why you wear the number that you do? Not really, I just joined the team late and they handed me the jersey. They asked if it fit and it did so I stuck with it.
2. What are some of your other hobbies? Basketball, Baseball & watch Netflix
3. What is your favorite movie? Coach Carter
4. If you could pick any place in the world to live, where would you choose? California
5. Favorite college/pro team? Michigan Wolverines
6. Favorite teacher/staff member & why? Mrs. Willour because if we did good on a test she made us a cake.

12. Do you think playing sports at Hemlock made a difference in your life? Why? Yes, playing sports has gotten me a lot of friendships.
13. Is there a coach that really made an impact on your life? Why? Nick Miller because he pushed me and taught me to never quit.

Academic Athlete of the Week - Rebecca Willour
1. Do you have a special reason why you wear the number that you do? I don't have a # in tennis but I like 16 for soccer because it is my birthday.
2. What are some of your other hobbies? I love doing art and drama in my free time.
3. What is your favorite movie? This answer changes weekly, but Spiderman: Far from Home is my go to.
4. If you could pick any place in the world to live, where would you choose? Rome
5. Favorite college/pro team? I don't watch sports, so to make my Dad proud I'll say Minnesota Vikings.
6. Favorite teacher/staff member & why? I'd get in trouble if I didn't say my Mom.
7. Favorite video game? Just Dance
8. Favorite family recipe? My Mom's blueberry muffins
9. Do you have any advice for future Hemlock High School student athletes? Whether it comes easy or hard, learn to love your teammates; everything becomes way more fun when you do!
10. What are your plans after high school? I'd like to go to Med school at CMU and eventually have a big family of my own one day.
11. What is your dream job? Realistically? Pediatrician Physician, Unrealistically? An animator or actress
12. Do you think that academic success has helped in your athletics? Well I've never been ineligible so that certainly helps.
13. Is there a coach that really made an impact on your life? Why? Joe Wardlow, he is a coach that truly cared about each player and who finally gave me the confidence I need to improve.
14. What will you miss most about Hemlock High School? Getting to spend every day, good or bad with my friends.

10/16/19 - V Volleyball @ Millington - L (25-21, 25-19, 12-5, 21-25, 15-17) Brittney Young had 13 Kills. Courtney Boehler had 12 Kills. Sydney Peake had 9 Kills, 4 digs, 1 Ace. Kylee Ryder had 5 Kills, 2 blocks. Kendra Salo had 38 Assists, 2 Kills. Cassidy Peake had 10 Digs, 10 service points, 1 Kill. Brook Hogenson had 10 service points 4 Aces and 2 Kills, Claire Watson had 3 Digs, 1 Ace.
10/16/19 - F Volleyball @ Millington - L (9-25, 21-25) Maria set well and had a 7 point service run in the second game. Claudia had some nice saves and was always up to block. Julia had some good saves and passes as well.
10/17/19 - JV Football vs. Nouvel - W (42-6) This was win #5 on the year, securing a winning season for the JV team. Max Dinninger lead the way for the offense throwing for TD passes to Bryce Murphy, Caiden Larkin, Derrick Young, and Jacob Shelogowski. The defense was led by Luke Zastrow who had another Interception, and Luke McGregor who had a sack and a fumble recovery for a TD.
10/19/19 - V Volleyball @ St. Louis Invite - vs. Freeland (L) 18-25, 11-25. vs. Fowler (L) 19-25, 20-25. vs. St.Louis (W) 25-16, 17-25, 15-9. vs. Laingsberg (L) 24-26, 19-25.
10/19/19 - V Cross Country @ Sag. Co. Meet - All county awards were given to Greison McLeod- Second team, Evan Robishaw – third team and Chloe Watson - third team. Season best time was run by Lexi Seidel and PR by Hailey Scherzer. Matthew Loucks also had a super run and performance.
