Thank you, Mrs. Keller for hosting the mandatory cheer meeting! What an exciting time for our girls!

Tuesday, Feb. 22nd, 8th-grade students will be learning about their graduation options and pathway opportunities during science class. Make sure to look for paperwork coming home.

SOS students will meet Wednesday, February 23rd at 10:30 in room 103. We are excited about this program and the work students are putting in!

Math teachers will print out a detailed progress report to all students. Sign it and return it to the math teachers.

We will begin our last unit, Modernizing Texas in an Age of Oil.

Students will have:

• daily worksheets
• performance test--oil derrick model
• daily notes and test corrections in Google Classroom

There are a total of 11 days left, or 9 school days, to get your AR points and comprehension grade in. Both of these are test grades.

Students should each have two books in their possession. They may also visit Clever.com and utilize our Sora app. The Epic app is great, however it only works between 7a-3p.

Some students can access Learning Ally. Ms. Neighbors has provided all of her students with usernames and passwords. If you have trouble logging in, please email her at neighborsj@gladewaterisd.com.

Our AR contract has been amended due to some intolerable activity. Parents and students, please check your email next week to view the changes. If you have any questions, email your reading teacher. Emails can be accessed through our Middle School directory online at https://www.gladewaterisd.com/Domain/179.

Honey Bear sign-ups are happening in the office during lunch/recess times.

Students may sign up and grab a packet for information.

Practice Dates: March 1-4 and March 7 and 8

Try-Out Day: March 9 from 4pm until finished

This is a practice STAAR that will give us data and allow us to make pathways for students before the real thing. The dates for our upcoming practice STAARs are below.
