26th Annual Elenbe Awards

The 26th Annual Elenbe Awards were presented by Lyons National Bank and Wayne County Council of the Arts on Tuesday, May 31, 2023 at Newark High School, honoring high school theater in Wayne County.


Gananda's High School Drama Club took home four awards last night for its 2022-2023 musical production of Damn Yankees, including Best Musical Production, Runner Up.

Mrs. Laura Hall, HS Nurse and Attendance Office

Per the New York State Department of Labor, youth aged 14-17 need working papers to hold a job in NYS.

There are two kinds of permits:

  • Ages 14-15
  • Ages 16-17
On a student's 16th birthday, they need a new 16-17 work permit.

When applying for work permits, students need to provide the nurse with:

  • a physical within the last 12 months, if we do not already have one on file
  • this linked application, with part 1 completed and signed by the parent/guardian
Physicals and applications can be faxed to 315-986-4726, emailed to lhall@gananda.org, or brought in to the Health and Attendance Office.
