Kindergarten: Hi Kindergarten Family, next week, we will be focusing more on Black History, We will be comparing and contrasting stories being read. In Math, we will continue our lesson on Teen Numbers. Please continue to work with students on sight words, blending CVC words, addition/subtraction and counting to 100. Thank you for all you do for our students at WPS.
First Grade: Hello from First Grade! Next week, we will be focusing on who is telling the story. In math, we’ll be adding and subtracting tens. We’ll continue learning about Black History Month. Please complete homework packets weekly, as well as read and study sight words nightly.
Second Grade: Greetings from Second Grade! On Tuesday next week is our Black History and Talent Show Program. If your child has done a project for the program, please make sure they bring them to school on Monday, February 19.
Next week we will begin to learn how words and phrases supply rhythm and meaning in a story, poem, or song. We will practice adding up to four two-digit numbers and begin learning about measurement. We will continue to learn about how various people and events have shaped our American culture. Continue to read for at least 20 minutes each night and complete assigned homework
