The Fundamentals of Restorative Practices
Course Overview
Join colleagues in learning the key concepts of restorative practices, an approach that proactively builds positive school communities while dramatically reducing discipline referrals, suspension and expulsions. Over the course of the two days we will reflect on current practices, discuss the importance of relationships, learn about and discuss the Restorative Practices Continuum and engage in community building through circles (a key practice in Restorative Practices).

- Describe the key concepts of restorative practices.
- Reflect on how restorative practices may impact participants’ professional and personal lives.
- Apply the restorative practices continuum.

Registration Process
As stated above, Restorative Practices is an approach to building positive school communities. Therefore, this class would best be suited for school teams including a school administrator to attend together to examine practices to create an environment of inclusion and reduction of exclusionary practices.
Registration is capped at 60 participants.
