Notes from the East Hill Principal

This page provides thoughts and commentary from Susan Meskos, the Principal of East Hill Elementary School in the West Genesee Central School District.

We are so proud of East Hill's teacher, Mrs. Emily Bush! Mrs. Bush was honored as the Teacher of the Year at the elementary level by the Camillus Optimists for her outstanding teaching and dedication to our students.

Just a friendly reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Thursday, November 11 as we recognize Veterans Day. We are asking both staff and students to wear their RED, WHITE, and BLUE on Wednesday, November 10 in honor of our Veterans and their years of service.

If your student wasn’t here on picture day or if you aren’t pleased with their picture, Friday, November 12 will be our school portrait retake day.

At 9:00 a.m. students are allowed off their buses and as soon as the buses leave the loop cars come in for drop off (usually 9:05 a.m.). Thank you to our families in cars that do such an amazing job with this! The drop off runs smoothly and safely and we truly appreciate that. With that, it is important that we are attending school on time. Consistent tardiness even just 5-minutes multiple times a week will have a negative effect on your child's academics. Please be sure your child is getting to their bus on time and/or in the drop-off line in a timely manner to arrive at school on time.

*Please note as other buildings roll out their new arrival and dismissal times East Hill School's procedures will remain the same.

East Hill School Day Hours: 9:00 a.m.-3:15 p.m.

Mark your calendar for the Special Referendum Community Forum to be held on Monday, November 15 and also save the date for the vote on the referendum which will be held on Monday, December 6.
