Tomorrow is a an Optional Teacher Workday and a Remote Day for students. Teachers will be letting you know your child's assignment for tomorrow (remote day packet, etc.) via Remind. Stay warm and safe!

Even though circumstances weren't ideal this morning, you parents and families were patient and kind and helped our staff to get our students home in the quickest, safest way possible. And for that, I am beyond thankful!! Please know if this were to happen again in the future, we would do a regular car line, like we do in the afternoons, and if they give us permission to send buses home, students that came to school on the bus, will return home that way, unless the teacher knows differently. When you have over 500 students arrive to school and then are sending 500 plus students immediately back home, it is never perfect, nor easy...so thank you for your patience!

Our first row car riders will be dismissing 5 minutes earlier beginning this week at 2:50 pm. Our fabulous teacher assistants that run the car line must clock out by 3:25 and due to the amount of vehicles that go through our line this year, we are having to adjust our dismissal time. Please make sure your child is picked up by 3:15 each day when our car line will be ending so you don't have to come in the office to pick them up. Thanks!

Bethel Elementary will now be sending home messages that are brief, or need to go out very quickly via Remind, like the messages your child's teacher sends. If you receive our Alert Now phone call messages, you should have received a text message today.

If you know of someone that is receiving our messages and they haven't had a Bethel Elementary student since 2012, please let them know if they will type STOP in the message thread and hit send, it should remove them from the BES parent messages. Phone messages will still be sent occasionally, but they take up to 10-15 minutes to send to families due to how the system is designed, and aren't ideal when you need to relay messages to families quickly. Bethel the Beautiful newsletters will continue to be sent as well, but just know, Remind messages will be another way to make sure we are communicating with our families.
