The 2022-2023 school year is almost over! It has been such a wonderful year. Thank you to all of our Walsh families for all of your support over this past year.

If your child is in grades 1-4, they will keep their Chromebooks over the summer and bring them back to school in August. Please assure that your child takes care of their device. Current kindergarten students will receive new Chromebooks in first grade.

Have you registered your child(ren) for the 2023-2024 school year? Registration information is listed below. I recommend that you register as soon as possible!

I would like to congratulate Mr. Jeff Moore, who was our Associate Principal. He has been working as an Interim principal at Walker School, and has formally accepted the position of principal of Walker for the 2023-2024 school year. We wish him the best!

Once again this year, Walsh School participated in the Kids Heart Challenge. Doing this challenge is beneficial for multiple reasons. First, it helps the students learn how important our hearts are and why we need to keep them healthy! Second, it shows us that we can really aid our hearts if we are active and eat nutritious foods. And lastly, the money that is raised during this challenge is used to assist kids who have unhealthy hearts.

I am proud to say that Walsh School did well again this year. As a school, we raised a total of $914.23! Our top donator was Nikolai S. Great job Nikolai! Special shout-out to the following students: Mackenzie P., Stephen A., Xavier P., Emma G., Jacob L., and Emma L. They all raised $80 or more. Awesome job to them, as well!

Thank you to all that participated in the challenge and/or donated. Thank you to the parents and family members who provided assistance. I look forward to doing this again next school year!

School District 104 will be restructured for the 2023-2024 school year to accommodate neighborhood schools. Walker, Walsh, Wharton and Graves (Dual Language) will now be Kindergarten through 5th grade. Please consider selecting the school closest to your home. Please contact the office if you have any questions.
