SchoolPool Spring Campaign
This year in honor of Earth Day (April 22nd) and National Bike to School Day (May 4th), Newport Heights Elementary will be partnering with King County, the City of Bellevue and the Bellevue School District to help promote a reduction in the single occupancy vehicle traffic and carbon emissions when getting our kids to and from school.
Throughout the campaign students will receive fun prizes and activities and our school will receive up to $1000 in safety supplies.
We will be having a drawing at the end of the campaign. Any student who turns in a completed punch card or bingo sheet by Monday, May 9th will be entered into a drawing for a prize. One entry per student.
Please choose one of two options below.
Option 1: For every day you take the bus, carpool, walk or ride a bike to school between April 22nd and May 4th, mark a star. A completed card is 5 stars.
Option 2: Save the Planet Bingo. For every activity you complete from the bingo card, mark a space. A completed card will be a Bingo line, or any 5 individual activities.
Email completed forms to president@nhe-pta.org or drop off at the main office.

Membership & Fundraising Update
Membership Goal Status - 34%
Goal: Every NHE student is represented in PTA by at least
one important adult in their lives.Status: Currently 34% of our students are represented. We are 1/4 of the way there!
There is NO obligation or expectation to volunteer or attend meetings. (But we do LOVE to meet members and find fun opportunities for those that want to help!)
Membership assistance is available. We do not want funds to stand in the way of those that want to join. Please email president@nhe-pta.org to request a confidential scholarship.
Fundraiser Goal Status - 44%
Status: We are 43% of the way to our goal.
And remember to ask your employers about their Corporate Match Plan. Many local employers will match the donation you make up to 100%!
Every dollar contributed to our Pass the Hat fundraiser goes directly to support the programs offered by the PTA. A donation of $100 covers our spending per student, but any amount is appreciated. Every dollar counts!
We are a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. All donations are 100% tax deductible. Our Tax ID number is 91-1208399.

Partnering with your Child's Teacher
One Voice - Official National PTA Blog
School is Back in the Classroom, but Distance Learning is Here to Stay.
As a parent, I’m very familiar with how hard it can be to balance the demands of work and family in today’s busy and ever-changing world. Sometimes I find myself pining for the more predictable chaos we enjoyed before the pandemic. Regardless of our individual circumstances, the disruption and unpredictability of the last two years have presented even greater challenges—especially for our kids.
Newport Heights PTA
Newport Heights PTA is a volunteer-powered association of NHE families, staff, and community supporters, who act collectively on behalf of our children.
Our mission is to make every NHE student's potential a reality by promoting partnerships between home, school and community, engaging and empowering families and supporters to advocate for all children.
