As a part of our District 50 Strategic Plan, we are looking for ways to incorporate student voice in our school community. Each of our kindergarten classroom has a Wildcat representative that will be meeting with Mrs. Myers, our Assistant Principal, to discuss items and learn about giving their thoughts and opinions as a part of a group. Their first two topics to discuss will be games and materials they would like to see during recess and then the second topic will be about what they would like to see on our flat screens in the lunchroom. The flatscreens can display artwork, pictures of their friends, Wiley pictures or ROAR expectations. Check back next week in my newsletter to see what they decided! The Warren Newport Library event for Black History Month was a great success with a wonderful turnout! Our very own Carrie Monterroso, Colleen Oreskovich, Lavonna Garner and Alejandra Balsamo, were integral in planning and running the Black Dads Rock panel. This was a wonderful community event and we were grateful for partnering with the library!

Dr. Justin Patchin, from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Clair Cyberbullying Research Center will share his research as well as how parents can help support their children in their vast open digital expanse.
