Colby Grade School

It's great to be back!

The sound of students in the hallways and seeing them in classrooms with old & new friends warms the hearts of CGS staff.

This year we have returned to the cafeteria (instead of the classroom) for breakfast. Breakfast is served until 8am. Be sure your student arrives to gathering early enough to be able to enjoy.

Virtual announcements were a wonderful start to each school day last school year and will continue this year! Announcements, led by 4th grade students, started the end of August. Each 4th grader has an opportunity during the school year to get to be our news broadcaster. This is something the younger students look up to. Announcements include: the Pledge of Allegiance, birthdays, daily weather, special information, a joke for the day and sometimes a special guest!

Shelby Mosier

My dream vacation is being on any beach in Hawaii. When I was in middle school I was just as tall as I am now and was nicknamed “Jolly Green Giant” I am still standing at a measly 5’9”. Who inspires me the most is and always will be my dad. He is one of the most kind hearted and genuine people I know. My favorite restaurant is Bella Luna in Wichita or any good Mexican restaurant. On weekends I like to relax with my husband and wiener dog Dewey. My favorite movie is the Family Stone which is just a long the lines of every Hallmark Christmas movie, which is also a favorite of mine! My hidden talent is justifying all of my online shopping purchases to my family because my second hidden talent is finding a good sale Well I always have and always will cheer for the Colby Eagles of course and CCC Trojans. I haven’t been able to commit to any college or pro team I would die for.

Pamela Colgan

My mother is the one that inspires me the the most. Applebee's is one of our favorite restaurants. On weekends we love to get on our Harley and ride as much as we can. I cheer mostly for my grandkids. I have 8 and soon to be 9 grandkids!

Pattie Schielke

I graduated from Colby High School as well as my kids who are now grown on their own. They inspire me to always try and try again. Silly to say but my dream "vacation" would be able attend the rodeos my son enters in and watch him ride bulls.
