What an amazing potluck we had for our custodians and coaches. We appreciate everything you all do for our campus on a day to day basis!! Hope you felt the love! Sorry we missed Mrs. Lourdes and Coach Edwards as they were out this day.
Thank you for opening up your classrooms for our instructional rounds. There are great instructional practices in all classrooms that were present. Hope you all took at least one take away for your classroom. We are hoping to do this on a quarterly basis. We appreciate you opening your doors to come see you at your best!
I would like to thank the office staff. We have been short handed but yet, they continue to go above and beyond. We have Mrs. Molina, Mrs. Cuellar and Nurse Portillo also helping out as Maryann transitions to attendance clerk. We appreciate you all very much!! Ms. Mary and Maryann have been running reports, addressing absences, coding and much more. All this on top of their daily tasks. Thank you so much ladies for showing great firebird pride.
This month is full of events. Please refer to our master calendar as well of our nest to keep informed.
PLC on October 17th will be with admin. (week A) We will be working on entering data on student tracker forms as we noticed a lot of information is missing. Thank you to those that have entered the information. If you finish the data, you may be excused from PLC after Mr. Aguirre or myself have reviewed it. Please feel free to change titles as dates may be off. Thank you!
Mrs. Fernandez and Mrs. Aramburu will be out for training, but Mrs. Molina and Mrs. Gaytan will cover their rotations.
Mrs. Anchieta will be sending the attached flyer about pumpkin donations this week. If students bring pumpkins in, please hold them in your classrooms. We will pick them up closer to our event.
On October 18th, we will have our Fall Festival. A huge shout out to PTO as they coordinated the event, we have vendors, food trucks, some trunk or treat cars and each grade level has signed up for games. Please help us invite our community to come join the fun! Thank you for helping us out, without each of you, this would not be possible. Ticket booth will be available at the event. Mrs. Diaz will be sending you a map of your location so you can set up during your prep if you wish to do so.
A reminder to keep implementing the prompts in your classroom as we are now on phase 2 of our Firebird Family Time roll out. During the break, Mrs. Anchieta and I were able to meet with Transcend for further guidance and support with our Firebird Family Time. We are on the right track! Keep on being great and implemeting greetings and prompts.
I have attached part 2 of our monthly read aloud. We appreciate you playing then to your students.
Mr. Aguirre and I have started our Formal Observations. A reminder to submit lesson plans 3 days prior to your observation. After your observation, submit your reflection within 3 days of the observation. We will send you an invite within 10 days to have your post observation.

Golden Apple Recipient
Congrats to Nurse Portillo, She is the golden apple recipient. In the words of Mrs. Anchieta,
"Nurse Portillo goes above and beyond to serve the needs of our students. She is kind and very helpful! Nurse and I have formed a very special partnership, as we work very closely when we have students in need or in crisis. I am very lucky to be able to work so closely with her and am proud that she is part of our Firebird family."
By the end of the week, she will will hand over the Golden Apple to a person that displays Integrity, Responsibility, Respect, Safety and Excellence.
