Redmen Review

This week, students in Ms. Bakke's English I class worked to create "thumbprint poems" that showcase how exceptional each person is. Combining words, color, magazine clippings, and other artistic features, students demonstrated what makes them unique.

Mrs. DeSpiegler's Personal Finance students recently played "Cashless Monopoly" using ledgers to keep track of their deposits and withdrawals. Although students accepted the challenge, they commented that they would rather "feel" the money in their hands.

Planning on going to college in South Dakota?

October 1st through November 30th is the Free College Access Campaign for the state of South Dakota. During this time, you can apply to any of the six board of regent universities or South Dakota technical schools for free! Also, a reminder that seniors are allowed two exempt days for college visits. Please work with Mrs. Filipek to get the proper paperwork for those days to be exempt!

Mrs. Lehrke's Human Development and Nutrition and Wellness classes, along with a few seniors, got to hear regular and irregular lung sounds during the simulation on USD's Mobile Health Affairs Bus!

Stay caught up with your homework and grades by participating in Homework Help every Thursday in the SHS library from 3:30-5:00 pm. Come for a quiet space to work and extra support from teachers.
