CU Discovery Days at NJC

Selected students from grades 4-8 attended the CU Science Discovery day at NJC on Wednesday, October 25 titled "Water in the West". The event was sponsored by NE BOCES and STROBE to bring the educational experience of understanding science, stewardship, and sustainability of water. Students had three sessions to help them understand how water is used everyday and how heat can affect the water cycle, how water can help power cities but also during complications of night and cloudy weather, and lastly how to consider what communities can do to use water responsibly when the entire watershed is considered. Each of these sessions had hands-on opportunities for students to understand these concepts.

Middle School Boys Basketball is Underway

Our MS boys traveled to Wiggins on Tuesday for the Tigers Tournament. The A team won the tournament defeating Strasburg and Limon. The B team played well also bringing home 3rd place.

High School JV Football End 2023 Season

On Monday, the JV Rams football team wrapped up their season against the Merino Rams. Throughout this season, these boys worked hard and gained a lot of experience that will certainly be to their benefit down the road.

Battle of the Rams

lt was a battle of the Rams last weekend in Merino. Our high school volleyball and football teams both worked hard but did not come home victorious.

High School Volleyball at Idalia

The high school girls traveled to Idalia on Tuesday to take on the Lady Wolves. The girls showed growth but ended up loosing the battle in three.

They are looking forward to hosting Caliche on Friday for Pink Out!

Our student athletes are having their annual Pink Out Night this Friday!

Please come out and help them fight against cancer! The baskets shown below will be available to make bids on AND there will be a baked goods drawing with winners drawn throughout the evening.

All money raised will be donated to Encouraging Sisters to help all members of our community who are battling cancer.
