12 Days Until Christmas Break Spirit Days: We will be celebrating the next 12 school days with fun spirit days! We hope your child will participate in the fun! The days are listed below:

Tuesday, November 29: Mad For Plaid- Wear your favorite flannel.

Wednesday, November 30: Superhero Day- Dress like a superhero!

Thursday, December 1: Family Picture Day- Grab your friends and dress up in matching attire!

Friday, December 2: Rocking Those Christmas Socks! Wear Christmas socks!

Tuesday, December 6: Shine Bright- Wear Your brightest attire.

Wednesday, December 7: White as Snow- Wear white!

Thursday, December 8: Tree topper- Wear your favorite Christmas hat.

Friday, December 9: Christmas on the beach- Wear your favorite beach attire.

Tuesday, December 13: Ugly Sweater Day - Wear your ugly Christmas sweater!

Wednesday, December 14: Baby it's Cold Outside- Wear your cozy and warm attire.

Thursday, December 15: Christmas Morning- Wear your pajamas to school.

Friday, December 16: Christmas Day- Wear as much Christmas attire as possible!

Character Assembly of the Month: We will be having our December Character Assembly of the Month on Friday, December 2 at 7:45 AM. If your child is selected as his/her class's student of the month, you will be notified by his/her teacher.

Family Christmas Movie Night: CSCO is hosting a free event on Friday, December 2, 2022. We would love to have your family RSVP here so we know how many to expect! We will have free popcorn and water. All your family needs to bring is your lawn chairs and/or blankets! Doors will open at 6:15 PM and the movie will start at 6:30 PM. We will announce which Christmas movie at the event!

Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) Packets Coming Home: On Friday, your student will receive a packet of work. This packet of work needs to be placed in a safe spot in case we have inclement weather or have to cancel school. If we have to miss school for any reason, we will indicate if it is "AMI Day #__" on the cancelation notice. Your student will need to complete the corresponding day's work and turn it in on the first day we return to school. Any questions concerning the work can be emailed or messaged through Class Dojo to your child's teacher during "school hours" on that AMI day. If your child turns in completed work, your child will not be considered absent. However, if they do not turn in their work the first day back, they will be counted "absent". By completing these packets, we will not have to make up the missed school day in the school setting.

*Please know students covered by an IEP may have more time to complete the work if indicated in his/her IEP.

Crane Christmas Parade: The Crane Christmas Parade will be this Saturday, December 3 at 6 PM. This is a fun night for our community and hope many can attend!

Elementary Christmas Program: Our Christmas program will be on Thursday, December 8, 2022. The program will be held in the High School gym. The kindergarten, first and second graders will perform at 6:00 PM. Students will need to be in their homeroom class by 5:40 PM that evening. The third and fourth grade and Honor Choir will perform at 7:00 PM. These students will need to be in their homeroom classes by 6:40 PM. Students in 5th and 6th grade will not be participating in the Christmas Programs this year unless they are in Honor Choir.

Full Day Preschool Begins in January: We are excited to announce our preschool program will be transitioning to full days in January. This will be for our preschoolers who are age eligible to attend kindergarten next year. Our three-year-old students who are in our Early Childhood Special Education class will remain on the half day schedule. More information will be sent home to parents of current preschoolers to ensure a smooth transition!

Still Important...

Student Absences: If your child is absent from school for any reason, please call the office to let us know. The phone number is 417-723-5300 ext. 902.

Breakfast: If your child is a parent drop off each morning and wants to eat breakfast at school, he/she needs to be dropped off no later than 7:40 AM. We have had a few come after 7:45 and they do not have time to get to breakfast before being counted tardy for class.

SNAP and Medicaid Application Assistance: If you would like assistance in applying for SNAP or Medicaid, then please call the Elementary office so we can help you set up an appointment with someone who can help you complete the process. If you would like us to send home applications for you to complete on your own, we can do that too. Just give us call and let us know how we can help! 417-723-5300 ext 902.
