This Wednesday, October 18th will be an early dismissal day. We will dismiss at 12:30 pm and we will not serve lunch this day. Please notify the office if there are changes to your child's afternoon transportation arrangements.

We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week from October 23rd through October 27th. Ms. Stover will be pushing into classrooms to teach lessons and we will also celebrate with a spirit week. Please see the corresponding days below.

Monday 10/23 - “Be Kind to Yourself”

Students will draw/write about what they envision for their drug free future.

Tuesday 10/24 - “‘Be Kind to your Community”

Students will wear East Fallowfield / CASD Black and Red gear.

Students will be writing thank you notes to our community helpers (police officers/EMTs)

Wednesday 10/25 - “Be Kind to your Body”

Students will wear work out / exercise gear.

Students will take a walk around the outside of the school (weather permitting) and each student will receive a water bottle.

Thursday 10/26 - “Be Kind to Each other”

Students will dress up like a friend or role model.

Students will write a kind note to give to a friend, family member, or role model.

Friday 10/27 - “Celebrate Halloween - say BOO to Drugs!”

Students will wear (or bring to change into) their Halloween costume.

When students are showing our Big East Expectations of SOARing (Safety, Ownership, Acceptance, and Respect), they can earn Eagle Eye Tickets on the bus, in the pick-up area and this year we have added a separate drawing for the cafeteria! Every Friday morning, we pull one winner per grade level. This week's prize was an ice cream coupon and/or a SOAR bracelet. Congratulations to this week's winners!

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to East Fallowfield next week! The letter below will be coming home soon with your child's designated shopping time.

It's hard to believe, but Thanksgiving will be here soon! This year, be the person to bring the delicious dessert to dinner by supporting our Highland Orchard fundraiser. This year you can choose from apple, pumpkin, pecan and apple crumb pies. Another fan favorite are the apple cider donuts paired with a gallon of apple cider! Order forms will be coming home this week, so please be on the lookout. All orders are due by Friday, October 27th and pick-up will be on Monday, November 20th from 4-5 pm.

Chromebooks

• Please be sure to send your child back to school with their district-issued Chromebook and charger if they took it home for the summer.
• If your child turned in their Chromebook at the end of the year, they will be distributed within the first few days of school.
• If your child is in kindergarten or new to the district, laptops will be distributed within the first weeks of school.
• Technology Insurance Fees (TIF) can be made via RevTrak on the school district’s website: https://coatesvillearea.revtrak.net/casd-technology/.

The district is continuing our contract with A Child’s Place as our before and after care provider. Please see the attached flyer below for information about rates and how to enroll your child. We are happy to announce that we will have both before and after care at East Fallowfield this year!
