Road Closure
As many of you may have seen, PENNDOT will be doing road work on Strasburg Road, temporarily closing a portion of the road from Buck Run Road to Hepzibah Hill Road next week. There is a pipe being repaired on the road right in front of the township building next door. We have been told that staff, parents and busses will have access to East Fallowfield from the Hepzibah Hill Road side of the building. Detour signs are supposed to be going up soon to help redirect traffic.
We have heard conflicting reports about the closure, so here is what we will be preparing for.
You will not be able to access the school from the township building side.
Instead, all traffic should come from the Hepzibah Hill side.
We have heard it will be from 10/23-10/27 but have also heard it could just be Monday. We are preparing for all week.
We have heard it will be 24/7 but have also heard it will be from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. We are preparing for 24/7.
If you are a parent who drops off and picks up your student every day, please give yourself extra travel time. I'm sure this road closure will also be delaying our busses but I have not heard anything official yet from the bus company.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, November 6th. We are aiming for 100% participation from our families. In-person conferences are preferred, but if your schedule does not permit, we can accommodate via zoom or phone. Please note, conferences are only 10 minutes long so being on time for your conference is key!
Please sign up for your conference here at this link: https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/East_Fallowfield_Elementary_School_1
We look forward to seeing you on November 6th!
Harvest Celebrations
We will have a harvest fashion show through our hallways. This is not open to parents and other spectators due to space constraints. We will be sure to take a lot of photos that will be shared in next week's Monday Morning Message and our PTO Facebook page. Thank you for your understanding.
Additionally, we will be having a typical day of school on Tuesday, October 31st. Please do not send classroom snacks or costumes on this day.
Science Fair Is Coming!
My name is Mrs. Joann Billman, I am the STEM teacher and will be the Science Fair Coordinator for East Fallowfield. I am here with a special announcement! The 2023-2024 Science Fair is getting ready to begin! It is exciting to watch our students learn and grow as they present a project of their own design! East Fallowfield will hold the Science Fair on January 10, 2024!
