Swartz Drop Off and Pick Up
Dear Swartz Parents, During drop off and pick up, please make sure that you are adhering to the school zone 20 mph speed limit and are making a complete stop at the stop signs. I understand that we can be in a rush in the morning, but the safety of our students and community is more important. Also, please do not park on the east side of the building during drop off or pick up. This slows down the line and is an accident waiting to happen. Finally, if the drop off door is closed at 7:40, your child is already late to school, so please don't speed to the bus lane to drop off either. Thanks for your understanding and support, Angie Ross

Teacher Feature
Meet Mrs. Le Gal
Hello! I am Mrs. Le Gal, one of the current 2nd grade teachers. I have had the privilege of working in our wonderful district my whole teaching career - 16 years! I have taught between 1st and 2nd grade. I grew up in the town just next door, Elmhurst. I attended Northern Illinois University where I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. I then furthered my education and got my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University.
A little bit about me personally, I am married to my husband Guy, who is a firefighter. We have 2 little cuties (I'm biased). Our son, Grayson, will be 3 in March. Our daughter, Bria will be ONE in March as well. I worked for the Elmhurst Park District pools since I was 15 years old. My favorite spot to vacation is St. Peteβs Beach in Florida. Every year growing up my family would vacation there for Spring Break. St. Peteβs holds many special memories with my grandparents. Right now my current hobbies are playing trucks with Grayson and chasing Bria around. My favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz.

Standard Response Protocol
Salt Creek District 48 has adopted a new emergency protocol response from the I Love U Guys Foundation. This is a program that has been adopted by many of the schools within DuPage County. Over the summer, the administrative team attended training on the protocol and is passing along the training to all staff. We also want to make families aware of the five different protocols so you can be familiar with the language you may hear your child or the school use.
