The Greenwood school safety work group met on Wednesday and did a walk-through of the building and campus. We are on track to hire a School Safety Specialist in the near future that will provide greater access control to our building. We appreciate those who have donated to the start-up costs for this position, but we still are short of our goal. If interested in helping fund this position for this school year, please contact Dr. Snodgrass.
Blue Jay Bash is coming up on Friday, November 10th at the Glass Place in downtown Springfield. Please do your part to support our school through your attendance and sponsorship of this annual event.
Have a great weekend!

GPA Cookbook Fundraiser
Greenwood Parent Association is bringing back a classic!
For years, Greenwood put together a cookbook of favorite recipes and now it's your turn to add to the tradition. Please submit your favorite family recipes here. We will compile them into a cookbook that will be available for sale this school year. We look forward to starting up a much-loved tradition again. You are more than welcome to submit a recipe from a previous cookbook, if you have one!
Cookbooks will be spiral bound, with a color cover and black and white interior with student art. Cost will be between $25-35, depending on how many pages it has and how many are ordered.

Spotlight on a Fantastic First Grader
First grader Zoe Calhoun’s parents brought her dirt bike, a KTM 50, for her student of the week sharing time. She has been riding for a few years and just recently got upgraded to this new bike.
This is Zoe’s first gas powered bike. Zoe and her parents answered questions about Zoe’s hobby. Students who wanted to were allowed to sit on Zoe’s dirt bike. Zoe is hoping to start racing this fall. Rev your Engines!
