STEM II
Greetings,
This week in STEM II our Kinder scholars had our first quiz on pushing and pulling. Take a look at the photo that was taken when we had our relay taking turns pulling the skate as we continued to explore what makes things move. We also took time to look at pictures of sail cars and drew pictures of a few sail cars. Our next step is to begin building our sail cars.
First grade scholars have been working on sound. We took our first quiz this week on sound. Next we will begin looking at the weather.
Second grade scholars have continued to learn about different types of bridges. Next we will be determining which type of bridge to use in certain scenarios. Third grade scholars have started deciding on the types of flippers and bumpers that they want for the pinball machines they are designing. Check out the photo of some of our Fourth grade scholars recreate a car collision! They have been busy analyzing and recreating a car collision to help them determine which vehicle caused the collision, and where the energy transfer occurred. This is going to be important to help them create a new safety feature for a car. Fifth grade scholars took a quiz on the states of matter. We started learning about properties of matter. This is going to help us determine what is the best material to use to create our stepping stones.
