Principal's Message
In addition to the communication sent out by the district office, MHS sent out information to the email address listed in Skyward. If you didn't get any communication about the move to remote/distance learning please let me know.
As we look ahead, the last full week of January will include the last two days of first semester and the first two days of second semester. That is 11 days of school with only 9 days of each class remaining. Please encourage your student to take advantage of their time in class, to use T3 wisely, and to talk to their teachers about other opportunities or support that might be available. Students can stay after school to attend the Trojan Learning Center (TLC) Monday through Thursday.
Students will attend all six classes each day that school is open that week. There is no school on Wednesday, January 26th, to allow teachers to wrap up work from first semester and prepare for the start of second semester. As we begin second semester, students will be preparing for their spring semester conference which will take place during the week of February 7th. More information will come out in the coming weeks.
January is often a busy month for students as they work hard to improve grades and finish final projects. Please let your students' teachers know of any concerns you have or questions about the work assigned.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Go Trojans!

T3 This Week
No School, Monday, January 17th, Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Important Information For Seniors
The deadline for the HSBP (graduation requirement) has come and gone. Unfortunately, a third of the students did not turn in their plan and a large number of students turned in an incomplete document. If your plan needs revisions you will receive an email from your school counselor. The incomplete plans are outside the counselor offices for you to pick up. Please get this taken care of as soon as possible. You will need to re-print the plan and turn back into the office. As always, if you have questions please do not hesitate to make an appointment with your counselor.
If you have put off signing up for credit retrieval for any failed classes or incompletes you are running out of time. Please make an appointment with your counselor and get registered. You can choose a Monday/Wednesday or a Tuesday/Thursday session and the meeting time is from 2:45-4:45 pm. You can also do work outside of the class times to ensure completion by graduation. Check with the credit retrieval teachers for the parameters for this.
During the 2021-22 school year we are not giving incompletes for classes. For any class you fall below the D criteria you will receive an F. Any F's would also need to be made up in credit retrieval to graduate. Please finish the first semester strong! For any incompletes you may have received during these Covid times please check with the teacher of that class and see what work needs to be completed for a passing grade if you have any questions.
Deadlines for colleges are also upon us. If you haven't done so already please make sure you have completed your FAFSA, and college applications. You should also be working on scholarship applications. Make sure you check college websites for all deadlines.
A number of seniors have also not met the deadline for the first steps towards the completion of your senior presentation. Mrs Waterman is the contact for senior presentations and is always open to lending support and answering any of your questions.
We all want to see you succeed and walk across the stage in June. If you are overwhelmed, reach out. We are here to help.
Do you need help with your chromebook ? Please contact our Tech Support Team!
Baseball Open Hitting
There will be baseball open hitting on Sundays from 5- 6 pm starting this Sunday 1/8 and going until the Baseball season starts.
Come to Line Drive Northwest on the corner of Hannegan and Pole Road and get some swings in.
It's Time To Buy Your Yearbook!
National Clean Your Desk Day, January 10th
Attendance Information
Being present in class is vital to be successful in school. We want to encourage all of our students to be at school every day! If you are missing school, you are missing out on learning!
