Don't Forget to Sign-Up - Town Center Parent Book Study

We are excited about our upcoming Town Center Parent Book Study! All of our meetings will be via Zoom. The book, The Whole-Brain Child: 12 Revolutionary Strategies to Nurture Your Child's Developing Mind, will be provided for you at no cost, along with an accompanying journal. They will be yours to keep!

If you are not available for each date below, do not worry! We will have an online option for the meeting dates that you are not able to join us. This will allow you to keep up with our book study and still be a part of the discussion. We are excited about the opportunity to bring TCE parents together for a time of learning, not only from the book but also from each other.

**Registration is open through Thursday, February 17th. At that time we will send all registrants a welcome letter with additional information about materials. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Valentine's Day Parties

Our classes will have their Valentine's Day parties on Monday, February 14th. Similar to our winter parties, each class will be able to have two room parent volunteers attend. Additional visitors will not be allowed during the party activities. Your child will be able to pass out valentines this year if they would like to.

*All party refreshments will be cleared by our school nurse. Please be mindful that your child may receive additional treats/candy from classroom peers attached to their valentines that are passed out. Please make sure to check these items when your child gets home if they have any potential allergies or food restrictions.

Kids Heart Challenge - American Heart Association

Our Kids Heart Challenge (formally known as Jump Rope for Heart) kicked off on February 1st.

Families have already joined us on the KHC Road Trip and have taken the challenge to Be Active or Be Kind! So far, we have raised $6,555.29 donations toward our $10000 goal and kids are working to complete Finn’s Mission!

Save the Date: Parent University Conference March 26th

Save the Date: CISD will host a Parent University Conference — Parenting through the Pandemic — on Saturday, March 26. This conference is focused on how to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and families, while providing an avenue to connect with others as we navigate the ongoing, multi-year pandemic.

The conference will be held at Coppell High School from 8:30 a.m. to noon and will include a keynote speaker and an opportunity to select two choice sessions. After the event, there will be an outdoor community picnic. Register at go.coppellisd.com/22ParentU to attend. The event is limited to 500 participants.

Reminder: New Positive COVID-19 Case Reporting Procedure

A big thank you to our families for communicating positive student Covid cases to us. In order to help streamline the communication process for both families and our campus nurse, please fill out the following Google Form if your child receives a positive Covid-19 test. Once our nurse has received the form from a family, she will reach out to them during school hours to discuss a return date to school and any questions they may have.
