We want to give a huge Big East shout out to the very best custodian, Mrs. Marilyn Aponte! Affectionately called Ms. Mary by our students, Marilyn goes above and beyond every single day for our students and staff.

She makes sure that our school is clean for all who enter and she welcomes everyone with a smile. She makes our school a better place with her bubbly personality and positive energy! We are so thankful to have her as part of our Big East Family!

When students are showing our Big East Expectations of SOARing (Safety, Ownership, Acceptance, and Respect), they can be rewarded with Eagle Eye Tickets on the bus, in the pick-up area and this year we have added a separate drawing for the cafeteria! Every Friday morning, we pull one winner per grade level. This week's prizes were an ice cream coupon and a stylish S.O.A.R. bracelet! Congratulations to this week's winners!

Congratulations to both Aaron and Luis for leveling up on Lexia English last week! We are so very proud of you! Keep up the great work!

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th through October 15th. Mrs. Willis has recorded a few real alouds to share to help celebrate the month. This week's read aloud is Say Hola to Spanish, by Susan Middleton. We hope you have fun learning some new Spanish words!

Our PTO sent out yellow order forms for our annual Mum Sale. Orders are due this Friday, October 6th and pick up will be on Friday, October 13th from 4:00-5:00 pm. We are accepting payment via cash, check, Venmo or CashApp but all payments must be submitted with the forms are turned in.

All flowers are 9" pots from Ford's Greenhouse and are available in yellow, red, orange and purple. Our mum sale benefits the 5th grade promotion ceremony. We appreciate your support!

Chromebooks

• Please be sure to send your child back to school with their district-issued Chromebook and charger if they took it home for the summer.
• If your child turned in their Chromebook at the end of the year, they will be distributed within the first few days of school.
• If your child is in kindergarten or new to the district, laptops will be distributed within the first weeks of school.
• Technology Insurance Fees (TIF) can be made via RevTrak on the school district’s website: https://coatesvillearea.revtrak.net/casd-technology/.
• Should you have any technology concerns please contact our Technology Department at ithelpdesk@casdschools.org.

The district is continuing our contract with A Child’s Place as our before and after care provider. Please see the attached flyer below for information about rates and how to enroll your child. We are happy to announce that we will have both before and after care at East Fallowfield this year!
