A Word from your Instructional Leaders

Welcome Back and Happy New Year!

We hope everyone had a restful break and ready to return to school. We want to celebrate your child and their teacher. Prior to break, all K-5 students were progressed monitored in reading using the STAR assessment. Every classroom had a minimum of 50 percent of students make gains in reading. Way to go students and staff!

The Spring semester is here and we are excited to see our students continue to grow in their academics and social/emotional needs. Having your child here on time and prepared for learning is essential and we appreciate you making every effort to assure this is happening. Please remember students can be dropped off from 7:30-7:55 a.m. If your child arrives to school after 7:55 when classes enter the building, you will need to park and walk your child into the office to sign them in. This is an added safety procedure we implemented last semester.

We have a new WEBSITE!

We are so excited about our new and improved webpage!! Our school's site is one of the first schools in the district to go live! You can download an app called "Las Cruces Public Schools." Once app has downloaded, you may select Mesilla Elementary and any other LCPS school you wish to follow. mesilla.lcps.net
