This week Mt Baldy School saw some students in the classroom for a brief visit when they dropped off textbooks and supplies. Families, students, and Mt Baldy staff were beginning to feel what it would be like to start school again for those who opt to return to in-person learning.
Mt Baldy School staff have been diligently working on our campus, preparing it for in-person instruction starting on Monday, April 19th. As a reminder, school starts at 8:00 am. We will begin welcoming students on campus at 7:45 am. MBS staff will be parking along the fence. This opens up the parking lot for families to park or drive-thru. Please remember that we will have families entering the parking lot from the north and south. If you are a Mt Baldy resident coming from the North, you can make a left into into the parking lot. There will be a line coming from the south therefore you have the option of doing drop off at 7:45. Mt Baldy staff will be there at 7:45 am ready to escort all children from the drive-thru drop off to their classrooms.
Daily, students should bring a smile, a face mask, a filled water bottle, and a snack. Windows will be open for ventilation so students should dress in layers. Students should always wear or bring a sweatshirt to school.
Please help us keep our school open. Every morning, do a wellness check on your child monitoring for fever, chills, cough, difficulty breathing, fatigue, body ache, headache, loss of smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea/vomiting or diarrhea. If your child exhibits any signs of illness, please keep them home. This is our number one line of defense in keeping students and staff healthy and our school open for in-person learning.
