- Tail is about 36 inches
- Has a well built chest (for breathing in low oxygen habitat)
-Has gray fur with black patches
- Lifespan - 15- 21 years
ONLY 5,000-7,000 SNOW LEOPARDS LEFT IN THE WILD
REASONS OF THEIR ENDANGERMENT
- Being hunted for their fur
- Bones,skin, and organs are valuable in asian medicine
- Not much open land to live in
- Not enough prey
A SNOW LEOPARD'S HABITAT/ADAPTATION
- On high rocky mountains
- Lives in The Middle East, Russia, and North India
- Snow leopards are solitary mammals ( they live on their own)
- Has a very different internal body than other cats
- The snow leopard has a large nasal cavity that allows them to warm the cold air around them
