DES Staff Member Spotlight of the Week
Mrs. Iott is our DES Staff Spotlight of the Week!
Mrs. Iott is one of our elementary kindergarten teachers and she has worked with students at Dundee Community Schools for nine years. She earned her Bachelor's degree at Eastern Michigan University.
Mrs. Iott enjoys spending time with her family and friends in her free time. Her favorite color is blue. Her favorite snack is trail mix and her favorite drink is coffee.
Thank you, Mrs. Iott, for all you do for our DES Vikings!

Our Character Trait of the Month is Responsibility. Help us reinforce this trait at home this month!
PTO News
We are so proud of how hard the students worked to reach their Read a Thon goals! Because of their hard work, as a school, we raised $25,552.00 and logged 222,162 minutes read! That money will be put to good use to keep our PTO up and running for another year! Mrs.Clarke's third-grade class did an amazing job logging 18,587 minutes and collecting $1,755.

- Book Fair Nov. 6-10th
- The Book Fair will be open during conferences for families to shop together. Each teacher will also have a basket of wishlist items that families can purchase on their behalf.

Not all heroes wear a cape and tights. A real hero speaks up for what's right. Be a real hero. If you see or hear something that threatens student or school safety, submit a confidential tip to OK2SAY.
Anyone can report tips confidentially on criminal activities or potential harm directed at students, school employees, or schools.
Tips can be submitted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Important Information for DES
DES Full School Day Hours:
- The school day begins at 8:35 am and ends at 3:40 pm
- Our staff begins monitoring students at 8:15 am. Please do not drop off students prior to 8:15 am as there will not be any DES staff available to supervise them. Students dropped off from 8:15-8:25 will go to the playground with our supervisors and will then be dismissed to their classrooms. Students who purchase school breakfast will go to the cafeteria when they arrive unless they are in Y5 or kindergarten (their breakfast is served in the classroom).

School Meal Payments:
Breakfast and lunch are FREE for ALL students for the 2023/2024 school year! We ask that all families please fill out the free/reduced meal form on our website, even if you don't normally qualify.
