Principal's Message

Dear Parent(s),

Spring Has Sprung at Pine Grove Middle School and so has Mr. Davi-Digui and my HAIR.

Thank you so much to all the parents who were able to attend our Parent/Teacher Interviews both in person and virtually. It was a great success. On the same note, thank you to the parents who attend our first "live" Honour's Award ceremony.

On the Athletics side, Badminton has begun with try-outs and practices continuing. In addition Parkland Composite High School will be starting a 12 player football team for next year, please contact the office if you have any questions.

On Thursday, March 17th the students will be treated to special GREEN pancakes in recognition of St. Patrick's Day.

Learning In Action

Health Gr. 8

Health 8 classes have wrapped up their unit on nutrition. Students learned how to read food labels and identify whether the food option was a healthy choice or not. To summarize their learning, they created a poster comparing meal options from popular restaurants. They were challenged to create the most unhealthy meal they could from the menu as well as the most healthy option.

Breakfast Program

Students are provided with a variety of food options each morning as a part of our breakfast program. Fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, and yogurt are offered daily. Accompanying these food items, every Tuesday and Thursday a special food item is added to the menu. Here is what we are serving this week:

Tuesday - Hashbrowns

Thursday - Green Pancakes (for St.Patrick's Day)
