Kaizena

Tech Tribe Badge Challenges allow teachers the opportunity to learn and integrate tech tools in their classrooms. Completing the challenge for a tech tool makes teachers eligible for a "Tech Tribe" badge for their work. Badges can be proudly displayed by their classroom door to let everyone know how fabulous they are at integrating technology! Teachers work hard at their own pace to complete Challenges such as Google Classroom, Google Drive, Poll Everywhere, Nearpod, Pear Deck, Plickers, Digital Citizenship, and many more. Once you have completed the challenge, complete a Badge Form to receive a Tech Tribe Badge as a reward and recognition for your commitment to moving our students toward college and career readiness.

Kaizena is an add-on for Google Docs that allows you to give personalized voice feedback to your students on the work they turn in electronically.

The educator will use the Google Docs Add-on Kaizena to provide specific feedback to students on the work they have turned in electronically.

You and your students will both need to install the Kaizena Add-on in Google Docs if you are using a personal device.

1. Install the Kaizena Add On in Google Docs. (This extension is already installed on Teacher Chromebooks.) To record on a desktop, you will need to use an external microphone.
   
2. Students will have the Add On if they are using a district Chromebook. If students are using a personal device, they must install the Add On in order to listen to feedback without going online.
3. Use Kaizena to create personalized records of your feedback on your students' work.
   

1. A description of the assignment for which you used Kaizena as a feedback tool.
2. A link to at least one of your students' documents where you have added feedback. Be sure to set sharing settings to "Anyone at Waxahachie ISD with the link can view."
3. In the comments section of the badge verification form, write a brief reflection about your experience using Kaizena as a feedback tool.
