Hero Happenings!

Hellstern had a better week this past week concerning the number of COVID positives we had and the number of students that were quarantined. I am very hopeful that we are on the other side of this latest surge.

Please mark your calendars for February 8th if you have a student going into 7th grade next year or 6th grade. We are having a drop-in event from 5-6:30. We will have short information sessions about various aspects of Hellstern and we will also have teachers there to answer any questions you might have. We will be sending out more specific information about this event in upcoming weeks.

Everyone have a great week! It will be a GREAT week to be a Hero!!

This weekend, the Hellstern Herobotics team competed at the state FIRST LEGO League competition. Our Heroes won big, taking multiple major awards and receiving multiple invitations to compete at the international level. We are so proud of these students!!! They are already changing the world for the better.

We had several teams compete. The team comprised of Owen Tompkins, Oscar DeLeon, Braden Skiles, Miles Watson, & Beck Thorne placed third in the competition!

• Current 7th graders - CJHS will have a parent night on February 2nd for future 8th graders (5-6:30pm)
• Current 5th & 6th graders - HMS will host an open house for future 6th & 7th students and parents on February 8th (5-6:30pm). This will be a drop-in event and we will be publishing details in the coming weeks.

Feb. 2 - Parent night at CJHS for future 8th graders (5-6:30pm) this is a drop-in event

Feb. 7-11 - 7th graders register in HAC for next year's classes (happens during Hero Hour), parents will sign off on this registration during conferences in March

Feb. 8 - Future 6th & 7th night at Hellstern MS - this is a drop-in event, 5-6:30pm

Feb. 14 - No SCHOOL

Feb. 24 - HMS hosts Band Solo & Ensemble (4-6:30pm)

Feb. 25 - Club Day!

1-4 - English Language Proficiency Exam (ELPA) - 7th grade

7-10 - Elementary & Middle School Conferences
