We had the pleasure of meeting our future Hornets today! This has been one of my favorite days of the year for a long time. The sparkle in their eyes, eager to start their elementary school adventure is truly magical. It is our honor and pleasure to welcome them into our building and community with open arms. It is our vocation to love them and support them as Jesus would do. They become our family and we invite them to their new home away from home. Thank you to the new families for entrusting us to help guide them on their academic and spiritual journeys. We are truly blessed.

These are the days that are bittersweet as we embrace the new families and sadly say goodbye to some families graduating their last child this May. One special attribute that is unique to Holy Cross is the lifelong friendships that are created between the students and families. When talking with alumni some of the best times of their lives are from Holy Cross. Many alumni remain best friends with with their grade school classmates. That is why it is time to celebrate the traditions and legacy of this special school on Sunday, May 1 starting with Mass at 10:30 am and a reception to follow at the school directly afterward. All are welcome. A nostalgic pizza school lunch will be served while we honor retirees and some of our staff members that served many years to our community.

Farewell to Mrs. Holloway

Each year we have staff that is called by God on a new adventure. Bridget Holloway, our Literacy Coach, has made the difficult decision to move back to the classroom and teach at her Alma Mater. She touched so many lives in just one short year and we are so sad she is leaving Holy Cross. Thank you Mrs. Holloway for making every day fun and instilling a love of reading in our students. Just remember who won the donut eating contest! You will be missed by all!
