2020-21 PTSA OPEN CHAIR POSITIONS
We need more parent volunteers to help fill open positions for next year!
If you are interested in any of these programs and want to see them return next year please contact Colleen at creeksidevolunteersvp@gmail.com for more information.
Art Docent Chair
The Art Docent chair manages the Art Docents who are given training and resources by the Art Docent Program. The program goal is to have the Art Docents coordinate with teachers to provide lessons that expose students to a combination of art history, elements of art and a variety of art media.
Book Fair Co-Chair
The Book Fair chair and co-chair act as a liaison between the PTSA and the book company, schedules volunteers for the event, arranges deposits with the PTSA Treasurer, orders supplies and arranges publicity for the fair.
Box Tops
Box Tops is a fundraising opportunity that anyone can participate in. During our drives, the chair promotes the collection of box tops at the school and sends them in.
Cultural Fair Co-Chair
The Cultural Fair chair and co-chair lead and facilitate this cultural community event where families get together to learn about our school diversity.
Destination Imagination Co-Chair
The DI chair and co-chair manage this extracurricular activity that gives students an opportunity to creatively express themselves while using a hands on approach to solve problems involving math and science.
Reflections
Reflections is a cultural arts program that provides students with the opportunity to use their creative talents and express themselves through their own original works. Looking for a chair to oversee the program and facilitate the requirements for the program.
Staff Appreciation Chair
Every month the PTSA recognizes the teachers and staff with fun activities and treats. We're looking for a co-chair to help lead this effort and also support our room parents.
CLUB CHAIR VOLUNTEERS ALSO NEEDED!
Chess Club Chair - Creekside Chess Club provides the opportunity for the students to play chess with other students. Chess Club meets once a week after school.
Geography Club Chair - Geography is a fundamental discipline at all levels of education. Elementary students are naturally curious about the world around them. Our Geography Club seeks to build on this natural curiosity and excitement for learning new things. One or two parent volunteers are needed to run this club.
Math Club Chair - Current 4th and 5th grade students have the opportunity to form teams for the Creekside Math Club. The Creekside Math Club will help prepare kids for the “Online Math Olympiad” and and at least one off-site competition.
