Message from Mr. Imbusch

Dear students, staff, and parents/guardians:

Earlier this year during our EdCamp Professional Development Day in January, a large group of staff and a few students gathered together to review and discuss our Core Values - Positivity, Respect, Integrity, Drive, and Empathy.

A few years ago, we used the acronym P.R.I.D.E. when we rolled these Core Values out. Though we have not been using that acronym in recent years, our core values have remained strong and true. Every now and then, it is good to remind ourselves of how these core values are demonstrated here at Walpole High everyday:

Positivity - Demonstrated by eagerness, confidence, willingness, enthusiasm, optimism, and hope.
Respect - Demonstrated to others by honoring, admiring, consideration, tolerance, and making connections.
Integrity - Demonstrated by adherence to moral and ethical principles through honesty and sincerity.
Drive - Demonstrated by striving vigorously toward a goal or objective through effort, ambition, motivation, guts and initiative.
Empathy - Demonstrated by a sense of compassion, sympathy, recognition, inclusion, comprehension and appreciation for others.

By keeping these core values at the forefront of our work throughout our school community, we can continue to provide wonderful, inclusive learning experiences for all students.

Message from the Nurses

Starting in February the nurse's will be conducting state mandated vision, hearing, height & weight screenings for grade 10. If you would like to opt your student out please email the nurses.

Message from School Counseling

Class of 2025 and Families: On Thursday, February 8th from 7:00-8:00 p.m. the WHS School Counseling Dept. will be hosting a college admissions panel. The panel will feature admissions reps from Bridgewater State University, Tufts University and Stonehill College. Students and families will have the opportunity to learn about the admissions process and ask questions.

Yearbook Announcement

Humane Society

The Humane Society will be collecting donations for local shelters. We will be collecting towels, paper towels, unopened dog/cat food, gently used collars and leashes, gently used toys, dog beds, sanitizing wipes and other pet supplies. There will be a box in the front lobby for donations. All monetary donations are making a difference at local shelters, like the sponsoring of a puppy cage through the Great Dog Rescue of New England.

Spanish Club

The Spanish Club will be meeting on Thursday, February 8th at 2:15 Room 1332.

Best Buddies

There will be a Best Buddies Meeting on Monday, February 5th, from 2:10-3:00 pm in the Health Room (A246)

PM Club

The PM Club had a successful trip to Boston in January to ice skate on Frog Pond. We will have a planning meeting on Monday, February 5th after school in Señora Bacon's room (1319) to talk about a March trip to the WNDR Museum. We hope to see you there.
