Seltzer
We wanted to ask a question to our family community. We have been offering seltzer at lunch and have found that many students are not finishing them. I have read the notes regarding the implementation of seltzers in the cafeteria. We have learned that the cans cannot come back to class for a few reasons, including the fact that they cannot be resealed and can damage devices and student work. I am just gathering information on the need to continue having seltzers offered during lunch as water can be resealed and brought back if unfinished. Thank you for any information you can provide!

Ice Skating Event for RES & RJH hosted by the PTA
Wednesday January 11th 4:30-6:30
PTA is covering the cost of skate rentals as well as admission. Parents are welcome to watch from the patio, if space allows we may be able to open slots for skating up to parents. We will have hot cocoa! Please use this sign up to let us know you will be attending!
Family Members Invited to the Cafeteria
- Email resoffice@sau50.org if you would like to attend with the date/time (starting January 17). It is important to anticipate who will be in the building. We love these opportunities for students and their family members but we will always put safety first.
- We do have a focus during this time...eating for energy and brain power!

We want to thank the PTA and our families for sponsoring this incredibly staff luncheon. We ate together, laughed together and ate fantastic food together. We are so appreciative of all you do!
Mall in the Hall
We want to thank all the third and fourth graders, as well as Ms. DeFreze, for the effort they put into our annual Mall in the Hall! We raised over $2,000! I know I have amazing holiday gifts to give to my own children and even my dog, Frankie!

OPTIONAL DONATIONS:
- Notecards, stationary, etc to support our Rye Writes program!
- We are really wanting to create more welcoming conference rooms where we can meet with families and teachers from our district schools. If you are thinking of throwing away anything decorative, please let us know. These are not very friendly spaces and we would love to spruce them up!
