Facilities Update: SHS Stadium and Middle School Tennis Courts Now Open

The District has reopened our stadium at the current high school, as well as the tennis courts at Laurel Ridge Middle School and Sherwood Middle School, for public use according to the state's guidance for outdoor recreation, which can be viewed here. We ask that all community members utilizing these facilities follow the guidance of six (6) feet of physical distance between groups, and that all groups arriving together at the site have no more than 10 people in their party. Additionally, please be aware that these are active constructions sites -- for safety, please do not enter gated areas, and adhere to any instructions posted at the sites.

As per state guidelines, our playground equipment and contact sports areas (such as basketball courts) remain closed until further notice. This is intended to reduce the gathering of crowds, as well as contact with surfaces that are not sanitized regularly. All school buildings, as well as the District Office, remain closed at this time, with the exception of services such as the SHARE Center, the food distribution hubs, and the Technology Department's device repair hub.

Food Distribution Hubs - Schedule Update

Due to the District's furlough days, the schedule of food distribution hubs and rural food stops will be adjusted as follows:

  • No meals on Friday, May 29; Friday, June 5; or Monday, June 8
  • Week of June 1 - Food hubs and rural food stops will run Monday-Thursday. Additional meals will be included in meal bags on Thursday, June 4. Food hubs will be open 9:00-11:00am, and rural stops will run on the following schedule:

    • Rural Hub 1: 17855 Leander Dr. - 8:30-8:45am

    • Rural Hub 2: The Purple Hen 20345 Scholls-Sherwood Rd. - 9:00-9:15am

    • Rural Hub 4: Tonquin Lp at Old Tonquin Lp (just south of Tonquin Pl) - 9:30-9:45am

    • Please maintain social distancing guidelines of 6ft while waiting at our rural distribution stops, or wait in your vehicle until the van arrives.
