New and Important Information
Silent Auction Items Needed!
Do you like shopping on Amazon? Then we have made donating to our Silent Auction easy and quick to do from the comfort of your home (or office!). While we love to get any donations for our class baskets, we understand that families don't always have the time to go shopping. Our amazing auction chair, Dr. Greer, has created an Amazon Wishlist for each class. All you need to do is click on the link, purchase the item(s) of your choice, and it will be shipped directly to her. It's that easy!
We appreciate all the donations we have received thus far. Let's make this gala the best one yet!
Lunchtime Service Hours Available
We are looking for parents to sort hot lunches by grade level and assist with distributing them this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:15-1:15. Three service hours are available each day. Please email Mrs. Lewis alewis@stmaryum.org if you are interested. You must be Virtus certified for this opportunity.
HSA Dress Down Day February 13th
The HSA will be hosting a dress down day for the Valentine's Day parties on February 13th. The cost will be $5 and the proceeds will go to the HSA.
CYO Coaches Updates
Boys 10U (Edwards): They played a great game against Holy Redeemer, we started off aggressive with Lyndon Wagstaffe scoring the first 4 pts of the game. They continued the defensive mentality by forcing Holy Redeemer to commit several turnovers and steals led by Kelan Edwards Jr. with 5 steals for the game. Offensively, St. Mary's was led by Kahmel Jones who scored a game high 20 pts, followed by Lyndon Wagstaffe with 12 pts. It took a complete team effort to seal the victory and they were able to be successful. Great game boys!!! Let's keep it up! Current record: 2-1.
12U Boys (Edwards): This was a very important game for the 12U boys; they really wanted to keep their undefeated season going. Once again St. Mary's started off fast with Bryan Atemnkeng scoring immediately after the tip off! The entire game the team was focused and determined to show their parents, friends and staff all the hard work they have been putting in. Offensively St. Mary's was led by Bryan Atemnkeng with 18 pts, followed by Brice Atemnkeng with 14 pts, but the motto of this team is Defense! Defense! Defense! The team forced nearly 15 turnovers, over 10 steals and neatly 5 blocks......and more impressively NOT 1 but 2 (10 second violations) when they applied their full court press. This team was motivated, and I could not ask for more from them. Great win against Holy Redeemer and congratulations on keeping the season going in a positive direction. Great WIN!!!!! Current record: 3-0.
Coach LeGrand’s 10U Boys improved to 2-0 on the season after defeating St. Andrew the Apostle 29-3. Brady Atemnkeng led all scorers with 14 points, CJ LeGrand chipped in with 9 points and 4 assists. Ethan Taniform, Will Greer, and Landon Reed each added 2 points. So far this season Coach LeGrand’s 10U has out scored their opponents 66-7. The boys look to continue their hot streak at home next Saturday at 11 a.m. versus St Mary of the Mills.
Both of Coach Douglas's girls teams won this weekend! Go girls!
