As the 2022-2023 school year comes to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and partnership. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning in my new role, meeting families and watching our students thrive this year.
It has been an absolute joy to experience our buildings coming back to life with concerts, assemblies, field trips, family events and more. Our PTC teams' efforts have been nothing short of remarkable and I have been heartened by the parent and guardian participation throughout the year. This indeed has been a collaborative achievement by the entire community.
One of the best parts of my job is meeting and talking to so many River Trails families. This is something I absolutely plan to continue as we move forward. Your feedback is integral to ensuring we grow as a district and offer our students the best possible learning environment. Please feel free to reach out at any time, whether it be during the summer or when we return in August.
In the meantime, enjoy the last couple weeks of school and thank you for helping to make this a magnificent year! Oh, and...
🎓 Congratulations to the Class of 2023! 🎓

Congratulations to the RTMS track and field team! 26 athletes will participate in this weekend's state meet. Good luck, Ravens!
The 7th grade boys volleyball team finished 10-0 AND won the end-of-season tournament. We're so proud of their hard work!
2023-2024 Registration
All students, returning or new, need to be registered for the 2023-2024 school year. If you have not already done so, please visit rtsd26.org/register. If you have any questions, feel free to contact your school or the district office.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Any student who has not been registered will need to return their Chromebook before the summer break. All returning students who have registered will be able to keep their Chromebooks over the summer.
Student Fees
This year, student fees are being handled by a service called PushCoin. You should receive an email from PushCoin after completing all of your registration forms. This email will include information about how to create an online account and attach it to your student. You can also find PushCoin instructions on our website.

The River Trails School District 26 Board of Education approved Natalie Hudson's hiring as Prairie Trails School's assistant principal and director of special programs. In the role, Hudson will assist Principal Amy Veytsman in the school's day-to-day operations and have various district-level responsibilities, including overseeing the multilingual learner program.
Since 2015, Hudson has worked in the district’s student services department, most recently as a kindergarten special education teacher at Prairie Trails. She earned her bachelor’s degree in special education from Indiana University South Bend and her master’s degree in special education leadership from Concordia UniversityChicago. Hudson also holds endorsements in special education and English as a second language.
Music Fundraiser This Weekend!
The RTMS music department, including band, chorus and orchestra, is holding a fundraiser car wash this Saturday, May 20 from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. This is to raise funds for a Disney World trip, which will take place next spring break. Come by the bus lane at RTMS and get a car wash for a donation of your choice. 100% of all proceeds will go directly into student trip accounts.

RTSD26 Board Swears In New Member
The board welcomed a new member in May. Kimberly Bianchini is a Prospect Heights resident and has two children, one who currently attends school in the district. She is the owner of Advance Preschool Inc. in Hoffman Estates. Bianchini was sworn in along with returning board members Louis Camardo, Becky Pfisterer and Donna Johnson. All four were victorious in the April election.
Bianchini replaces Frank Fiarito who was elected to the District 214 Board of Education in April. Fiarito served on the RTSD26 Board for 12 years, including four years as president. He has been a frequent volunteer for the district, including serving as treasurer for the River Trails Music Boosters and as a lunchroom/playground supervisor at Prairie Trails.

You can watch a recording of the hourlong conversation with guest speaker Devorah Heitner, author of "Screenwise: Helping Kids Thrive (and Survive) in Their Digital World." Parents and guardians found this to be a valuable discussion about raising children in the the digital age.
The video is available at rtsd26.org/internet.
