Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Progress reports were sent home today with your student(s). Please review this document with your child and sign the receipt. Homeroom teachers will be collecting the receipts on Monday.

As a reminder, WHS is hosting a Parent Information Night at Waltham High School on March 7, 2023 @ 7pm for current grade 8 students. This night will be presented by Interim Principal Darrell Braggs, 9th Grade Interim Associate Principal MaryJo Rendón and WHS Staff.

National Junior Honor Society News:

The National Junior Honor Society Induction will take place on Wednesday, March 8th from 6:30 - 7:30. NJHS students need to report to the Kennedy auditorium at 6:15. Also, all NJHS students need to complete FIVE hours of community service. I presented two opportunities for the students to participate in for the month of March. This Saturday students can volunteer to help out at the 4th Annual Parenting Awareness Conference held at Kennedy from 8:30 - 12:30 and on Friday, March 10th, students can volunteer at Northeast to help with STEAM Night from 5:00 - 7:00. NJHS students can sign ups to volunteer on the National Junior Honor Society Google Classroom Page. Curriculum News

Prospective New Skier Day - Waltham/Weston Cross Country Ski Team

Saturday March 5th, 2:00 PM (arrive at 1:15 if you need rentals and a trail pass)

Leo J Martin/ Weston Ski track

190 Park Road, Weston, MA

Come join the Waltham/Weston Cross Country ski team for an afternoon of skiing, fun and pizza. We will teach new skiers how to ski, play some games on skis, and ski around the course a bit. Pizza provided for after! We welcome everyone and there is no need to know how to ski - most team members have never skied before joining the team and we love teaching new skiers. If interested, please email coach Nicole: thefirstsnerf@gmail.com, so we can communicate with you and show up! Little siblings welcome.

¿Interesado en esquiar para el equipo de la escuela preparatoria el próximo año? Únase al equipo de esquí de Waltham/Weston Cross Country para una tarde de esquí, diversión y pizza. Enseñaremos a los nuevos esquiadores a esquiar, jugaremos algunos juegos con los esquís y esquiaremos un poco por el campo. ¡Comeremos pizza al finalizar! Damos la bienvenida a todos y no es necesario saber esquiar: la mayoría de los miembros del equipo no esquiaban antes de unirse al equipo y nos encanta enseñar a los nuevos esquiadores.
