Ms. Keskin's Class Updates
Greetings,
Algebra 2:
The Algebra-2 students are currently immersed in Chapter 8, which focuses on Rational Exponents, Radicals, and Complex Numbers. In particular, they are learning about a crucial topic in section 8.5 - Rationalizing Denominators and Numerators of Radical Expressions. The students are being taught the essential skill of rationalizing denominators with one term and two terms by finding conjugates.
There are two significant assessments that the students must prepare for diligently:
- December 20-21: Chapter 8 Exam
- January 11-12: Mid-Term Exam
AP Statistics:
The current focus of study in AP Statistics is Chapter 13, which delves into the transition from randomness to probability. The students are equipped with the ability to identify and explicate the properties of probability and events, apply the rules of probability to determine event likelihood and differentiate between disjoint and independent events.
There are a few significant assessments that the students must prepare for diligently:
December 15: Chapter 13-14 Quiz
December 21: Chapter 15 Quiz
January 9: Chapter 16 Quiz
January 12-16: Unit IV Exam
January 26-29: Mid-Term Exam
Trigonometry:
The students in the trigonometry course are currently engaged in the study of Chapter 5: Trigonometric Identities, specifically focusing on the topic of 5.1 Fundamental Identities. Their learning objectives include the use of fundamental identities to determine trigonometric function values, discern whether trigonometric functions are even or odd, and rewrite trigonometric functions in alternate terms through the utilization of fundamental identities.
There are a few significant assessments that the students must prepare for diligently:
December 14: 5.1-5.2 Quiz
December 22: 5.3-5.4 Quiz
January 11: 5.5-5.6 Quiz
January 17: Chapter 5 Exam
January 19: Diagnostic Test
